Giza Pyramids Complex

The Golden Land of Giza encompasses some of the most remarkable archaeological marvels ever constructed on Earth, dating back to 2600 BC during the 4th dynasty, which created a stairway to the heavens.

The Great Pyramid of Khufu

The majestic Great Pyramid was constructed to endure through the ages, remaining the sole surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. King Khufu (2609 BC - 2584 BC) commissioned his brilliant architect Hemiunu to design an eternal tomb soaring 138.5 meters (454.4 ft) high, employing 400,000 skilled laborers to assemble 2.3 million massive limestone blocks and to craft a golden interior housing the granite King's Chamber.

The Great Sphinx

The legendary protector of the sacred Giza Complex, Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC), known as "The Sphinx," has the golden body of a mythical lion combined with his own facial features. Horus of the Horizon has become a powerful emblem of Egypt's strength, wisdom, and divinity, highlighted in 1401 BC when Thutmose IV placed the Dream Stele between its paws to signify his authority.

The Valley Temple

The members of the 4th Dynasty of the Old Kingdom (2686 - 2134 BC) sought immortality, aiming to be fully purified and ready for the afterlife. It also served as the site for the opening of the mouth ceremony.

Lunch Time

Enjoy your lunch at a restaurant with views of the Pyramids and the Nile, followed by a visit to:

The Egyptian Museum

The magnificent Egyptian Museum, discovered in downtown in 1901 AD, showcases some of the most remarkable artifacts from the history of ancient Egyptian civilization.

In the morning, after breakfast on the Nile cruise, continue your Christmas holiday in Egypt by exploring the most renowned tourist attractions in Aswan, beginning with:

The High Dam

The remarkable Aswan High Dam was constructed between the mid-1960s and 1970s to significantly contribute to Egypt's development by controlling annual floodwaters in the man-made Lake Nasser and generating electricity.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The Unfinished Obelisk is one of the most remarkable artistic achievements in history, commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) to stand at the magnificent entrance of the Karnak Temple Complex. It provides valuable insight into the techniques employed by the ancient Egyptians during the carving process and showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of their builders.

Philae Temple

The most renowned story in Egyptian history, "The Myth of Osiris," is depicted on the magnificent golden walls of the Philae Temple in Aswan. Originally constructed between 380 and 362 BC, this temple became the official sanctuary for the worship of Isis, the goddess of motherhood, between 282 and 145 BC. It is currently situated on the golden Agilkia Island.

Experience sailing and an overnight stay aboard the vessel. Lunch and dinner will be served on the cruise.

On the fourth day of your Egyptian Christmas journey, your destination will be:

Kom Ombo Temple

The legendary double-designed temple of Kom Ombo is a magnificent example of grandeur and craftsmanship, built as one of the final temples representing Egyptian architecture between 180 BC and 47 BC during the Ptolemaic period. It is dedicated to Haroeris (“Horus the Elder”) and Sobek, the crocodile god of the Nile.

Then you will continue sailing to:

Edfu temple

The magnificent Edfu Temple is an extraordinary example of divine artistry and legendary architecture, built during the Ptolemaic era between 237 BC and 57 BC to honor Horus, the falcon god of protection, and to commemorate one of the most significant battles in ancient Egyptian history.

Your journey will continue by sailing until you arrive at the city of Luxor in the evening, where you will stay overnight on the ship. Lunch and dinner will be served on board the cruise.

Overnight: Onboard the Cruise

After breakfast, please check out. You will then be joined by your tour guide and a private air-conditioned vehicle to continue your Egypt Christmas tour with visits to the tourist attractions in Luxor, beginning at:

Valley of the Kings

The most enchanting attraction in the mythical land of Thebes is the golden underground royal gate in the Valley of the Kings, which contains 63 tombs belonging to prominent nobles, kings, and queens such as Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, Seti I, and Tutankhamun. These tombs date back to the New Kingdom period (1570–1050 BC), spanning the 18th to the 20th dynasties. The Golden Valley of the Kings offers valuable insights into the ancient Egyptian funerary art and practices.

Hatshepsut Temple

The magnificent Hatshepsut Temple is an enduring symbol of architectural excellence and stands as one of the greatest masterpieces in history. Carved into the cliff face of Deir El Bahari in 1479 BCE, it was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) and supervised by Senenmut. The temple features three terraces adorned with exquisite decorations dedicated to the creator god Amun.

Colossi of Memnon

The extraordinary Colossi of Memnon, sculpted in 1350 BC by Amenhotep III, features his likeness on a seated statue standing 18 meters (60 feet) tall and weighing 720 tons. It has undergone numerous restorations, particularly during the Ptolemaic era when it became renowned for the unique sound it emitted at dawn.

Lunch Time

Next, enjoy lunch on an island as part of a boat excursion on the Nile River. Conclude your day of exploration with a visit to:

Karnak Temple

The central sanctuary of the Amun Karnak Temple Complex was the most prominent site constructed between 1971 BC, marking the beginning of the Middle Kingdom, and 30 BC, which signaled the end of the Ptolemaic period. It served as the principal religious center dedicated to the worship of the 18th Dynasty Theban Triad—Mut, Amun, and Khonsu—as well as other deities such as Isis, Hathor, Ptah, and others.
