A company representative will pick you up from your location in Luxor to begin a luxurious 4-night Nile cruise aboard the MS Esplanade. Your journey starts with a visit to Karnak Temple, guided by your personal tour guide. This temple has been a renowned pilgrimage site for over 2,000 years and is the largest religious structure ever built in ancient times. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the MS Esplanade to check in, enjoy an open buffet lunch, and relax on board. Later, a private air-conditioned vehicle will take you to visit Luxor Temple at night, which is considered the world’s largest open-air museum. This temple was primarily constructed to celebrate the Opet Festival and served as burial tombs for royal families. Finally, you will have dinner and spend the night on board.
Your private Egyptologist will accompany you after breakfast to continue your journey in Luxor by visiting the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, situated on the west bank of the Nile River beneath the cliffs of Deir El Bahari. This temple was built during the 18th dynasty under the reign of Queen Hatshepsut. Following this, you will proceed to the Valley of the Kings, known as the most significant royal burial site in history. The valley contains approximately 1,000 feet of tombs and mummies spanning around 500 years, including the tombs of the renowned pharaohs Ramses II and Tutankhamun. Next, you will visit the Colossi of Memnon, which stand as the grand seated statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Enjoy an authentic Egyptian lunch aboard the MS Esplanade before beginning your sailing journey to Edfu. Finally, you will spend the remainder of the day on board relaxing, enjoying a delicious dinner, and staying overnight.
Get ready for a guided tour where you will be taken by horse carriage to visit Edfu Temple, the main worship site dedicated to the god Horus. This temple dates back to the Ptolemaic period and was built between 237 BC and 57 BC. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your Nile cruise for lunch before setting sail to Kom Ombo. There, you will enjoy a captivating visit to Kom Ombo Temple, a Greco-Roman site featuring a unique dual dedication to Horus and Sobek, the protective god symbolizing power and fertility. The journey continues as you sail to Aswan, where you will have dinner and spend the remainder of the evening relaxing on board.
After breakfast in Aswan, you will meet your personal tour guide to explore the Aswan High Dam, an important project constructed over a decade from 1960 to 1970, and one of the most significant developments in Egypt over the past century. The dam serves as the country's first major defense against Nile flooding and is the largest source of electricity in the region. Next, you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk, an ancient monument dating back to the 18th Dynasty. If completed, it would have stood approximately 42 meters tall and weighed around 1,200 tons. Following this, your guide will take you to Philae Temple, renowned for its beauty and built by Ptolemy II, dedicated to the deities Isis, Osiris, and Horus. Lunch and dinner will be provided onboard, and you will spend the remainder of the day in Aswan.
After receiving your breakfast boxes, you will check out before your personal tour guide takes you to visit the Abu Simbel Temples. Built in 1244 BC, these two monumental temples were carved into the mountainside near Egypt’s southern border. The Abu Simbel Temples honor Ramses the Great and his wife Nefertari, celebrating the achievements of his reign. You will be amazed by the unique architecture, intricate decorations, and paintings, as well as the extraordinary treasures and monuments that have been preserved for over 2,000 years inside Abu Simbel. Lunch will be served at a high-quality restaurant in Aswan, followed by transfer to your designated drop-off point in the city.
