Your private tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Aswan to begin an exciting Nile cruise tour package. First, you will visit the Aswan High Dam, one of the most recent engineering marvels that enhance the beauty of Aswan City. This dam was constructed by Egyptian workers and inaugurated by President Gamal Abd El Nasser following the July 1952 revolution. Next, you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk before proceeding to Philae Temple, the sacred site dedicated to the goddess Isis, renowned for its impressive structures and exceptionally well-preserved decorations and paintings. You will then be transferred to the MS Acamar Nile cruise for check-in, where an open buffet lunch will be served, allowing you to relax onboard for the remainder of the day.
Your journey will commence early in the morning as your ship sets sail from Aswan to Kom Ombo. Upon arrival, your personal Egyptologist will guide you through a visit to Kom Ombo Temple, a Ptolemaic monument constructed between 180 BC and 47 BC. This temple uniquely blends Ptolemaic and Roman architectural styles. The cruise will then continue to Edfu, where an Egyptian lunch will be served onboard. You will explore Edfu Temple, located 60 km north of Aswan, built during the reign of Ptolemy III. This site also marks the historic location of the legendary battle between the ancient deities Horus and Set, symbolizing the forces of good and evil. After the visit, the cruise will proceed to Luxor, where you will spend the night onboard.
Begin your day with a delightful breakfast before visiting the most important landmarks in Luxor, including both the east and west banks of the Nile. Your first stop will be the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the few sites dedicated to both a pharaoh and a deity. This remarkable temple was primarily built to honor the queen, with sanctuaries dedicated to the gods associated with her afterlife. Next, you will visit the Valley of the Kings, the burial site for many kings and pharaohs of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties, from Thutmose I to Ramses X, where over 60 royal tombs and their valuable artifacts have been discovered. Following this, you will see the Colossi of Memnon before arriving at the magnificent Karnak Temple, a stunning example of ancient architecture where the gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu were worshipped. Lunch and dinner are provided on board the cruise, where you will spend the night.
After enjoying your final breakfast on board, we will transfer you to your designated location in Luxor, marking the conclusion of your MS Acamar Nile Cruise.
