The Great Pyramid

The magnificent Great Pyramid was designed by Hemiunu, the chief architect of Pharaoh Khufu (2609 BC - 2584 BC), as his tomb. It was completed in 2570 BC and remained the tallest structure for more than 3,800 years, standing at 138.5 meters (454.4 ft), aligned with the four cardinal directions. At the core of the pyramid lie the pristine King’s Chamber, the grand hall, and additional chambers.

The Great Sphinx

Saqqara Step Pyramid

Abu Simbel Temples

The renowned Abu Simbel Temples are a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian art and architecture, constructed by the great King Ramses II (1279-1213 BC) on the west bank of Lake Nasser. This site has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Completed in 1264 BC, the temples were built to commemorate several significant events, including the signing of the first recorded peace treaty in 1247 BC and the numerous accomplishments of Ramses II. The temples serve as the focal point of the sun festival dedicated to Amun, Ptah, and Ra-Horakhty, celebrated annually on February 22 and October.
