The Great Pyramid
Constructed in 2580 BC, the pyramid of Pharaoh Khufu (2609 – 2584 BC) served as his eternal tomb. It originally stood 147 meters (481 feet) tall and was built using 2.3 million limestone blocks, weighing a total of 5.7 million tons. The pyramid contains several sophisticated chambers, including the grand hall, the king’s chamber, and the queen’s chamber.
