Giza Pyramids Complex

The Giza Pyramids Complex will be before you; this site has stood for 4,000 years, making it one of the oldest structures on Earth. The Giza complex includes three major pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple, which served as a place for eternal preservation.

The Great Pyramid

The Great Pyramid of Khufu stands among the skies of paradise and is renowned as the last remaining intact structure of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. At over 4,500 years old, it is considered the world’s oldest mystery due to the various theories surrounding its origin and its intricate interior relative to its immense size. Built in 2580 BC over a span of 20 years, the pyramid was constructed using 2,300,000 limestone blocks, each weighing approximately 2.5 tons, by a workforce of 100,000 skilled laborers. The pyramid originally reached a height of 147 meters (481 feet), making it the tallest building globally for 3,800 years until the Lincoln Cathedral in England was completed in 1311.

The Great Sphinx

The Great Sphinx is one of the most enigmatic monuments in existence. It depicts a mythical creature known as a sphinx, featuring the body of a lion and the head of a man, thought to represent King Khafre, symbolizing power and wisdom. It is referred to as Abu Al-Hawl, which means "The Father of Terror" in Arabic. The Sphinx stands 73 meters (240 feet) long and 19 meters (66 feet) high, and was carved from a single limestone block.

The Valley Temple

The Valley Temple, dedicated to the mummification process, was built during Egypt's Old Kingdom period (2686-2134 BC) within the complex. It is one of the best-preserved archaeological sites of ancient Egyptian civilization and provides valuable insights into the mummification practices of Ancient Egypt. The valley is composed of limestone and granite and features unique diorite statues of King Khafre.

The Grand Egyptian Museum

The Grand Egyptian Museum serves as a magnificent gateway to the extraordinary ancient Egyptian achievements, showcasing over 5000 years of continuous innovation and remarkable artistic creativity. This monumental institution offers a unique opportunity to explore some of the most significant archaeological monuments and artifacts ever uncovered, including: The Hanging Obelisk, Statue of King Ramses II, The Ten Statues of King Senusret, The Grand Staircase, Statues of Ptolemaic Kings and Queens, The Victory Column of King Merneptah, The magnificent Royal Regalia, and the Grand Atrium & Gift Shop. A VIP ticket provides access to view several additional artifacts. For further details, please contact us.

Lunch Time

Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo. Afterwards, we will continue your Cairo, Luxor, Aswan & Abu Simbel tour by visiting:

The Egyptian Museum

The Egyptian Museum houses the world's largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts and monuments, spanning over 4000 years. Within its two-story building, you will find a selection of rare and invaluable archaeological treasures that have endured through the ages.

Overnight

Finally, you will be transferred to Cairo Airport to board your flight to Luxor, where you will check in to a 5-star hotel for an overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch Flight: From Cairo to Luxor Overnight: Luxor Hotel
On the third day, after enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will join your Egyptologist tour guide to visit all the renowned tourist attractions in Luxor, including:

Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings serves as a historical time capsule situated in the heart of the sacred mountain, functioning as the final resting place for the greatest kings and queens of Egypt’s New Kingdom (1570-1070 BC). It contains 63 tombs filled with a variety of captivating treasures, artifacts, statues, exquisitely detailed decorations, and the remains of pharaohs such as Ramses (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, IX, X), Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, and the renowned King Tutankhamun. This significance led to the valley being designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

Queen Hatshepsut Temple

The Hatshepsut Temple, celebrated as one of Luxor's masterpieces, is also known as Djoser-Djeseru (Holy of Holies). It reflects the strength and determination of Queen Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt's most successful rulers. Constructed beginning in 1479 BC, the temple took 15 years to complete. Its design embodies the Classical Architecture style of the New Kingdom, and it houses some of Egypt's most remarkable statues, decorations, and artifacts.

Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon stand apart from most monuments in Upper Egypt and are renowned as the colossal guardians of Luxor. These are two enormous blocks of quartzite sandstone, each measuring 18 meters (60 feet) in height and weighing 720 tons, sculpted to represent Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386-1350 BC). The statues were damaged by a significant earthquake in 27 BC but were restored in 199 AD. They gained considerable fame during the Greco-Roman period because of the "Vocal Memnon," a phenomenon where the statues appeared to emit sounds at dawn, which were actually caused by the wind passing through the statues.

Lunch Time

Next, proceed to enjoy lunch on an island; your tour includes a boat ride on the Nile River, followed by an excursion to:

Karnak Temple

Karnak Temple is one of the most sacred sites in the world. Historically known as Ipet-isu, "The Most Selected of Places," and Pr-Imn, "House of Amon," it dates back over 4,000 years. It is the largest religious man-made structure globally and also one of the largest open-air museums on earth. For more than 1,500 years, it served as the central place of worship for the entire ancient Egyptian kingdom, dedicated primarily to the Theban triad: the god Amun, his wife the goddess of justice Mut, and their son, the moon god Khonsu. The temple complex also honored other deities such as Osiris, Montu, Ptah, and Isis.

Overnight

You will stay overnight at your hotel in Luxor. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch Overnight: Luxor Hotel
In the morning, you will have breakfast and check out of your hotel in Luxor to proceed with the Cairo, Luxor, Aswan & Abu Simbel tour by boarding a 1st-class train to Aswan. Upon arrival, you will meet your private Egyptologist tour guide to explore all the major tourist attractions in Aswan, including:

The High Dam

The High Dam symbolizes the modern strength of the city of Aswan. It was built between 1960 and 1970 during the presidency of Gamal Abdel Nasser. The dam was developed as a collaborative project with the Moscow-based Hydro Project Institute to improve control over Nile flooding, generate hydroelectric power, and increase water storage for irrigation in its reservoir, Lake Nasser.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The Unfinished Obelisk is a story of a monument that was never completed. It was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) to be placed at the entrance of the Karnak Temple. Known as "Tekhenu," meaning "to pierce the sky," it demonstrates how obelisks were crafted from raw stone and the construction techniques used in Ancient Egypt. The obelisk was intended to reach a height of 42 meters and weigh 1,200 tons. However, it cracked during its creation and remains in its original location to this day.

Lunch Time

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Aswan before preparing to continue your day with visits to:

Philae Temple

Philea Temple embodies the myth, allure, and charm of Aswan. It is renowned for depicting the "Myth of Osiris," which tells the story of Osiris, the husband of Isis, who is killed by his brother Set out of jealousy and hatred. Osiris is then resurrected to become the ruler of the underworld. Subsequently, Set is defeated by Isis and their son Horus, the sky god, bringing an end to an era of tyranny and injustice. In the 1960s, the temple was relocated to the island of Agilkia as part of a UNESCO-led rescue operation following the construction of the Aswan High Dam.

Overnight

You will then check in to a 5-star hotel in Aswan for your overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch Overnight: Aswan Hotel
In the morning, check out of the hotel and you will be transferred to Abu Simbel in a private, air-conditioned car, accompanied by your personal tour guide, with breakfast boxes provided.

Abu Simbel Temples

The two magnificent Abu Simbel Temples have stood as the southern border’s final guardian since their construction by King Ramses II (1279-1213 BCE) during the New Kingdom, intended to immortalize his legacy for eternity. Every element of these temples embodies the essence of grandeur and glory. The larger temple, known as the "Temple of Ramesses, beloved by Amun," hosts the sun festival on February 22 and October each year, when sunlight illuminates the faces of the four seated statues of Ramses II, Ptah (God of Creation), Amun (The Creator God), and Ra (Sun God). The smaller temple is dedicated to his wife, Queen Nefertari. In the mid-1960s, UNESCO conducted one of the most complex archaeological rescue missions in history to relocate and preserve the temples.
