Details

Details:

The group will commence their 5-day Nile Cruise tour in Luxor, where our tour guide will start showcasing the marvels of East Luxor:

Karnak Temple

The dwelling place of the ancient Egyptian gods has long served as the focal point of religious activity, from its inception during the Middle Kingdom around 2000 BC until the Ptolemaic Kingdom in 30 BC. Spanning 247 acres, it was dedicated exclusively to the worship of the Theban triad. The Karnak complex is the largest religious complex in the world, renowned for housing the Great Hypostyle Hall, multiple precincts dedicated to Amun-Re and Mut, as well as various shrines and pillars that display remarkable art and stories. The group will check in to their Nile Cruise for lunch and relaxation, followed by the start of their exploration:

Luxor Temple

The enchanting Luxor Temple emerged from the sands of Thebes to serve as the focal point for festivals dedicated to honoring the gods and their blessings. Constructed around 1400 BC, the temple functioned as the southern sanctuary linked to the Karnak complex via the Avenue of the Sphinxes. It hosted the grand Opet Festival, which celebrated the renewal of kingship and was the coronation site for numerous Pharaohs, including Ramses the Great and Amenhotep III. The group will proceed to their Nile Cruise for dinner and overnight accommodation. Meals: Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Onboard the Cruise
The whole group will enjoy breakfast aboard the Nile Cruise before departing with a tour guide to explore:

Valley of the Kings

The remarkable Valley of the Kings is located within a concealed valley that houses 63 extraordinary tombs adorned with magnificent treasures and artistic decorations. These tombs belong to some of the most notable figures from the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties of the New Kingdom period (1570 – 1050 BC), including Tutankhamun, Seti I, Ramses the Great, Hatshepsut, and many others.

Hatshepsut Temple

The captivating Hatshepsut temple stands as a sacred emblem of elegance and sophistication, surpassing typical architectural significance. It represents an extraordinary masterpiece sculpted into the rocky cliffs of Deir el-Bahari in the 15th century BC to honor the great god Amun and the remarkable legacy of Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC).

Colossi of Memnon

The twin statues of Amenhotep III (1391 – 1353 BC), which were shattered by an earthquake during the Ptolemaic period, have been meticulously restored to highlight his remarkable accomplishments and historical significance. The entire group will enjoy lunch and dinner, and will spend the night on board their Nile Cruise. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Onboard the Cruise
The group will enjoy breakfast on the Nile cruise before meeting their tour guide to begin the exploration:

Edfu Temple

The magnificent Edfu temple represents the concept of victory, standing as one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt from the Ptolemaic dynasty, dating between 237 BC and 57 BC. It beautifully illustrates the remarkable tale of Horus defeating the malevolent desert god Set.

Kom Ombo Temple

The twin temples on the Hill of Gold were built during the Ptolemaic period, between 180 BC and 47 BC, to honor the crocodile god Sobek and Haroeris, the falcon god. The Kom Ombo temple features remarkable decorations that depict various aspects such as surgical instruments, the calendar, and much more. The entire group will return to their Nile Cruise to enjoy lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Onboard the Cruise
The entire group will enjoy breakfast onboard the Nile cruise before proceeding with your tour guide to observe:

Aswan High Dam

The contemporary Aswan High Dam was constructed in the 1960s to regulate annual floodwaters and generate electricity. The floodwaters are directed into Lake Nasser to improve Egypt's future prospects.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The unique unfinished obelisk of Hatshepsut was intended to stand at the Karnak complex, designed to reach a height of 42 meters. Today, it serves as an open-air museum demonstrating the carving techniques of ancient Egyptians.

Philae Temple

The remarkable Temple of Philae was built in the 6th century BC during the Ptolemaic dynasty to honor Isis, the goddess of motherhood. The temple's walls depict the myth of Osiris, widely regarded as one of the greatest stories ever told. The whole group will have lunch and dinner, and stay overnight on the Nile cruise. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Onboard the Cruise
On the last day of the 5-day group Nile cruise, the journey will conclude. After enjoying breakfast, all participants will depart for home. Meals: Breakfast
