Giza Pyramids Complex

Your visit to the Giza Pyramids Complex will be an unparalleled experience as you witness the magnificent Pyramid of Khufu, the largest pyramid in the world. You will also see the two other pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. The ancient builders achieved what can be regarded as a remarkable feat, given the immense size, the materials used, and the considerable time and effort required to construct these monumental structures.

The Great Pyramid

The magnificent Golden Pyramid of Giza was constructed for Pharaoh Khufu (2609 BC - 2584 BC) to ascend to the stars and guide him to the divine realm of the gods. Built in 2570 BC under the direction of his brilliant Vizier Henumiun, it stood as the tallest man-made structure on Earth at 138.5 meters (454.4 ft) for 3,800 years, and remains the only surviving wonder of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

The Great Sphinx

The Giza Mythical Sphinx, which is over 4,500 years old, is also featured. It was created to guard the Giza Complex and has the body of a lion with the face of Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC), symbolizing strength and wisdom. This offers a great opportunity for you to capture stunning photos with this iconic sculpture.

The Valley Temple

You won’t proceed further from there, as there is an additional site worth visiting called the Valley Temple. It is renowned as a significant sightseeing location because it served as the place where ancient Egyptians performed mummification, preparing the bodies of the deceased through a sacred ritual known as the Opening of the Mouth.

The Grand Egyptian Museum

The Grand Egyptian Museum serves as a remarkable gateway to the extraordinary ancient Egyptian achievements, showcasing 5,000 years of continuous innovation and rich artistic creativity. This monumental site offers a unique opportunity to explore some of the most significant archaeological monuments and artifacts ever created, including:

The Hanging Obelisk, the statue of King Ramses II, the ten statues of King Senusert, the grand staircase, statues of Ptolemaic kings and queens, the Victory Column of King Merneptah, the magnificent Royal Regalia, and the Grand Atrium & Gift show.

The Unfinished Obelisk

Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) was renowned for her remarkable accomplishments in constructing temples, tombs, and monuments. The Unfinished Obelisk, which could have been the largest and most impressive obelisk ever created by the ancients, was intended to be transported to the Karnak Complex. However, after a crack appeared in its upper section, the project was abandoned and the obelisk was left for visitors in Egypt to examine.
