Global Code of Ethics for Tourism

At Passion Egypt Tours, we strongly believe that travel should leave a positive impact — not only on our guests, but also on the communities and environments we touch. As part of our commitment to responsible travel, we encourage all our travelers to embrace sustainable tourism practices during their visit to Egypt.

We recognize the global importance of protecting our natural environment in a world facing serious challenges such as climate change and pollution. That’s why we align our values with the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism (GCET) — a set of guiding principles established to ensure that tourism supports cultural heritage, environmental preservation, and the well-being of local communities.

Adopted by the World Tourism Organization and acknowledged by the United Nations, the GCET provides a framework to help governments, the travel industry, communities, and travelers maximize the benefits of tourism while reducing its potential negative impacts. Though not legally binding, it promotes voluntary commitment through the work of the World Committee on Tourism Ethics (WCTE), encouraging shared responsibility in building a more sustainable tourism industry.

The Code’s ten principles highlight the economic, social, cultural, and environmental dimensions of tourism, inspiring all stakeholders — including us — to protect the planet, respect cultures, and create meaningful travel experiences that endure.
