We will pick you up from any location you choose within Luxor City in a private air-conditioned vehicle to begin an exquisite Nile cruise journey to the most remarkable historical landmarks in Upper Egypt. You will be accompanied by a private Egyptologist as you check in to the Sonesta Star Goddess Nile cruise and enjoy a delicious lunch. Afterwards, you will be guided to the impressive Karnak Temple, the northern sanctuary of the god Amun and the largest religious site constructed during the Middle Kingdom. Then, continue to experience the Luxor Temple illuminated at night. Dinner will be served on board, and you will spend the night in Luxor.
Tour to Luxor West Bank
After enjoying breakfast, your knowledgeable tour guide will accompany you to explore the key attractions on the west bank of Luxor, including the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This extensive rock-cut temple complex, located beneath the cliffs of Deir El Bahari, was built to honor Queen Hatshepsut, one of history’s most renowned female rulers. Next, you will visit the Valley of the Kings and the Colossi of Memnon, where two colossal limestone statues, erected by Pharaoh Amenhotep III, stand guard. You will then return to the Sonesta Star Goddess to sail towards Edfu while enjoying lunch on board, spending the remainder of the day cruising.
A fascinating visit to Edfu and Kom Ombo
After breakfast, your private tour guide will escort you by horse carriage to visit Edfu Temple, one of the best-preserved sites and a prominent example of Ptolemaic heritage in Egypt. The temple consists of two symmetrical buildings, each dedicated to different deities. Next, enjoy lunch on board as you sail to Kom Ombo. Upon arrival, you will be driven to Kom Ombo Temple, known for its symmetrical twin structures dedicated to the gods Horus and Sobek.
