The High Dam

The High Dam of Aswan, one of the most significant and modern structures in Aswan's history, was constructed in the 1960s to safeguard the nation against flood risks, store water, and generate electricity.

The Unfinished Obelisk

One of the largest structures that was never completed is the massive Unfinished Obelisk of Hatshepsut, crafted between 1508 BC and 1458 BC to be erected at the grand Karnak Temple, but it unfortunately fractured during its construction.

Philae Temple

The Philae Temple, constructed between 380-362 BC during the Ptolemaic period of ancient Egypt, stands out as the most distinctive temple of its time. It served as a dedicated sanctuary for Isis, the goddess of motherhood and healing. What distinguishes Philae Temple is its remarkable wall paintings that depict the myth of Osiris.
