Karnak Temple

Karnak Temple is the largest renowned temple complex, showcasing a distinctive example of ancient human engineering. The complex comprises three main structures and spans nearly 247 acres. Construction of the temple took place continuously from 1971 BC to 30 BC, serving a religious purpose as a site for the worship of various ancient Egyptian deities, including Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.

Luxor Temple

This impressive and inspiring monument was predominantly built by the New Kingdom pharaohs Amenhotep III and Ramses II around 1400 BC. Luxor Temple played a crucial role in reuniting the statues of the 18th Theban triad, comprising Mut, Khonsu, and Amun, which were transported from Karnak during the annual Opet festival.

Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings is the most significant collection of royal tombs dating from 1570 BC to 1050 BC. Known as the "Place of Truth," this site was built by the pharaohs of the New Kingdom who chose the valley as their burial ground, with a total of 63 remarkable tombs discovered there to date.

Hatshepsut Temple

The initial view focuses on the striking rugged limestone cliffs at Deir Al Bahari, dating back to 1479 BC, rising approximately 300 meters, where the remarkable historical monument, the magnificent temple of Hatshepsut, is located. This temple is dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's most renowned and successful pharaohs.

Colossi of Memnon

The site features only two colossal limestone statues dedicated to Amenhotep III (1391–1353 BC), created around 1350 BC. Each statue stands 18 meters (60 feet) tall and was erected at the eastern entrance of the king's temple. These twin faceless Colossi of Memnon each reach a height of 18 meters and are carved from a single stone block weighing 1,000 tons.

Dendera Temple

Referred to as "The Castle of Hathor," the Dendera Temple is among the most well-preserved monumental sites in Egypt, dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of love, joy, and beauty. The construction of the Hathor Temple began during the reign of Ptolemy III and continued from 2250 BC to 43 BC.

Abydos Temple

The Abydos temple was founded under the reign of Seti I, which is why it is called the "Temple of Seti I," but it was completed by his son Ramses II and his grandson Mern-Ptah. The site is renowned for its distinctive architecture and its exceptionally well-preserved paintings and decorations. The Temple of Hathor features seven splendid shrines dedicated to the most revered gods of Ancient Egypt.

Valley of the Queens

The Valley of the Queens serves as the primary burial site for the wives and children of the royal families from the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties of the New Kingdom, situated on the west bank of the Nile. The area includes 70 rock-cut tombs, with the most famous being that of Queen Nefertari, renowned for its exquisite design and captivating decorations.

Habu Temple

It is one of the most remarkable temples in Egypt, primarily built to honor Pharaoh Ramses II and III, and dedicated to the creator god Amun. The structure spans 320 meters in length and 200 meters in width, enclosed by a massive mud-brick wall.

Deir El-Medina

It is the homeland of the artisans and laborers who built and decorated the private royal tombs of the New Kingdom’s kings and queens. The term "Deir El Medina" translates from the ancient Egyptian phrase "ta set Maat," which means "the place of truth." This historic site is also believed to have been converted into a Christian place of worship during the Coptic Period.
