Details

In the morning, you will be collected from your hotel in Makadi Bay by a private air-conditioned car to start your 5-day Nile cruise from Makadi Bay to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, you will meet your Egyptologist tour guide who will accompany you to visit:

Karnak Temple

During your Makadi Bay tours, you will explore the largest temple complex ever constructed and the world's biggest open-air museum. Karnak Temple, built around 1500 BC, comprises three main temples, several smaller enclosed temples, and numerous other structures that served as places of worship for various deities, including the Theban triad.

Upon boarding the 5-star deluxe Nile River cruise, you will have lunch, followed by an evening pickup for further exploration:

Luxor Temple by Night

The lunar marvel of Upper Egypt, the Luxor Temple, is one of the highlights of the 5-day Nile cruise from Makadi Bay. Built around 1400 BCE, it served as the dwelling of the god Amun and was the focal point of the Opet festival, which represents the renewal of kingship.

Valley of the Kings

The Makadi Bay Nile Cruise will transport you to the land of the royal immortals from Egypt's New Kingdom period (1570-1070 BC), featuring well-preserved tombs—up to 63 in total—adorned with exceptional decorations, golden artifacts, and the mummies of the Ramses dynasty, Tutankhamun, and others.

Hatshepsut Temple

"El Deir El Bahari" stands as an exceptional example of classical architectural excellence and is among the best-preserved archaeological sites, highlighting the remarkable legacy of Queen Hatshepsut (1478-1485 BC) and the ancient construction techniques.

Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon are two massive statues, each standing 18 meters (60 feet) tall, that guard the entrance to Luxor. They depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386-1350 BC) and were damaged by a major earthquake in 27 BC but were restored in 199 AD.

Afternoon cruise to Esna and Edfu. Overnight stay in Edfu with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

After breakfast on board, your Nile cruise from Makadi continues with a tour to:

Edfu Temple

The 5-day Nile cruise from Makadi Bay will immerse you in the divine atmosphere of the magnificent Edfu Temple, constructed between 237 BC and 57 BC during the Ptolemaic period. This temple served as a place of worship dedicated to the god Horus, the son of the mother goddess Isis and the ruler of the underworld, Osiris, and is believed to be where Horus defeated his evil uncle Set.

You will proceed to Kom Ombo to explore:

Kom Ombo Temple

The temple, also referred to as the "Hill of Gold," will be one of the key highlights of your 5-day Nile cruise from Makadi Bay. It was constructed during the Ptolemaic period between 205 BC and 180 BC, featuring a unique double design divided into two identical sections: one dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god of fertility, and the other to the deity Horus.

Overnight in Aswan Including breakfast, lunch, and Dinner.

After breakfast in the morning, you will proceed with your 5-day Nile cruise from Makadi Bay, exploring some of Aswan's most renowned tourist attractions, including:

Aswan High Dam

The Aswan High Dam was built in the modern era during the 1960s and 1970s to control the Nile floods, enhance hydroelectric power production, and increase water storage for irrigation, resulting in economic growth and a positive impact on the culture.

The Unfinished Obelisk

In Aswan stands an incomplete masterpiece commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC). The Unfinished Obelisk measures 42 meters in length and weighs approximately 1,200 tons. Unfortunately, it developed several cracks during its creation and remains at its original location to this day.

Philae Temple

The last stop on your Makadi Bay 5-day Nile cruise is the Philae Temple, constructed between 380-362 BC during the Ptolemaic period as the final temple ever built. It served as a sacred site dedicated to Isis, the goddess of motherhood, wife of Osiris, the lord of the underworld, and mother of Horus.
