When you arrive at Cairo airport, our "Passion Egypt Tours " representative will assist you in completing all of your passport entry formalities and luggage identification & carry. Then, you will be transferred by a private air-conditioned car to your hotel for check-in.

Colossi of Memnon
Colossi of Memnon was built by Amenhotep III (1386-1350) to be the colossal guardians of Luxor. They consist of two blocks of quartzite sandstone standing at the height of 18 m (60ft) weighing 720 tons each and have the shape of Pharaoh himself. The colossi were damaged due to a large earthquake in 27 BC but were rebuilt once again in 199 AD. The statues were very famous during the Greco-Roman period due to the phenomenon called The Vocal Memnon which resulted from the statues creating a sinning sound from time to time which was nothing more than the sound of the wind passing through the statue at dawn.

Salah El Din Citadel has been watching over the city for generation after generation and that’s why it’s dubbed the Cairo citadel. It was completed in 1182 AD by the great ruler Salah El Din and it served as a powerful fortress against the crusaders & Napoleon’s French invasion and for more than 700 years. The citadel is now home to several mosques and a number of museums, and beautifully structured buildings.
Mohamed Ali Mosque
Mohamed Ali Mosque is a living piece of art known as the alabaster mosque due to the extensive usage of marble. It was constructed between 1828 and 1848 AD to be a mosque and a fortress to protect the city from external threats. It was designed in the Ottoman style and contains ornate brass clock gifts from Louis Philippe of France to Mohamed Ali. It is also known for its striking dome, one of the largest in the Middle East, and its beautiful minarets.
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is located along a golden route across the 5000-year history of ancient Egyptian civilization. It was established to display the remarkable achievements of the ancient civilization. The museum is home to the Mummies Hall, which has 20 royal mummies that were brought from the Egyptian Museum to the new museum.
Al Muizz Street

The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa are one of the few examples of ancient design located in the world. It symbolizes the influence & attraction of the ancient Egyptian culture in the Greco-Roman Period. It was constructed as a necropolis dating to the 2nd century AD that is able to merge the different cultures like the Hellenistic and Roman culture with the ancient Egyptian Pharaonic design in the unique breathtaking fashion. It holds a great mixture of Greek and Roman architectural decorations in its three levels that make it again one of the finest wonders of the Middle Age.
Pompey's Pillar
Pompey’s Pillar is a genuine symbol of might and the largest monolithic column ever built outside of Rome. It stands at a height of 28 m (91 ft) and is made of pure red granite and on its western upper side is a Greek inscription dedicated to Emperor Diocletian. The reason why it is named Pompey’s Pillar is because during the Middle Ages, the Crusaders mistakenly believed that the remains of the great Roman general Pompey were located in a pot at the very top of the pillar.

Qaitbay Citadel is an echo from the past waiting to survive. It was constructed in 1477 by Sultan Alexandri Sayf Al-Din Qaitbay in the same location which held the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria during the ancient times. The destroyed lighthouse that served as the third strongest surviving ancient wonder was destroyed in a series of earthquakes between 950 AD and 1323 AD. The citadel, however, remained to be a stronghold for centuries after its reconstruction.
