After its construction, it put the Abu Simbel and Philae Temple in danger but was miraculously saved by UNESCO in the 60s in one of the most challenging archeological rescue missions in human history.
The Unfinished Obelisk
The Unfinished Obelisk is a unique monument with no comparison. It was constructed by an order from Queen Hatshepsut (1503-1483 BC) to stand at the entrance of the Karnak temple with the lateran obelisk that resides today at the Lateran palace in Rome. The obelisk became known as “Tekhenen” when the workers found it cracked at the base as they tried to raise the height of 41 m (135 ft) and weighted 1000 tons, showing how exactly obelisks were constructed. The obelisk was created during construction and remains in the same place till today.
Philae Temple
Philae Temple is a genuine memorial temple of the goddess Isis of Love & Beauty. It is known for showcasing the "Myth of Osiris" that the temple of Isis was built by His brother Set out of pure hatred & envy then Osiris is resurrected in the life of the underworld when Set dies.
