It was designed by his main architect Hemiunu, who used 2.3 million limestone blocks and 400,000 free skilled workers in 2570 BC. Saqqara Step Pyramid

The illuminating Saqqara Step Pyramid started a movement of architectural brilliance that changed the face of Egypt for the rest of its glorious history. Memphis City

The first-ever capital that came to be in Egypt, Memphis, was founded by Narmer in 3200 BC between Upper and Lower Egypt. It held the Hut-Ka-Ptah temple, which means "Enclosure of the Ka of Ptah," translated in Greek to Ai-Gy-Ptos, which is the etymological origin of the word Egypt. It is found 20 km away from Giza under the divine protection of the god of artworks and creations, Ptah.

The Catacombs

The exotic Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa are a rare wonder and the only one of its kind in Egypt which became one of the seven wonders of the Middle Ages. It was built underground during the 2nd century AD for a royal family. Across the burial tomb and caracal hall is a magical mixture of the most magical examples of Egyptian and Hellenistic art and architecture.

Pompey’s Pillar

The majestic Pillar of Pompey was built in 298 and 302 AD as an 82-foot (25-meter) granite column to honor Emperor Diocletian. It can only be found in Rome as there is only one in Egypt plus it is rumored to hold the remains of General Pompey on top of the pillar.

Qaitbay Citadel

The powerful citadel of Qaitbey was constructed in 1477 AD by Sultan Al-Ashraf Qa’it Bay on the Mediterranean Sea coast where the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria once stood using its salvaged rock blocks. This grand defensive fortress holds some of the most enchanting decorations from the golden Islamic age.

The High Dam

The great Aswan High Dam is a remarkable modern innovation constructed between 1960 and 1970. It had a significant positive impact on the economy and culture of Egypt and was built with the support of the Soviet Union.
